Middle-order batter Nitish Reddy has been ruled out of the five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. The BCCI did not reveal the nature of his injury but mentioned that its medical team is monitoring the 21-year-old’s progress.
All-rounder Shivam Dube has been named as Reddy’s replacement. Dube is currently part of India’s T20 World Cup campaign in the Caribbean, having made significant contributions in games against Australia, Bangladesh, and the USA.
India’s T20I squad for the Zimbabwe series now includes three players from the T20 World Cup squad: Shivam Dube, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Sanju Samson. The series, led by Shubman Gill, will be played on July 6, 7, 10, 13, and 14 at the Harare Sports Club.
