The team, including star players like Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and Kuldeep Yadav, checked into the ITC Ratnadipa hotel on Sunday night.
Preparation and Coaching Staff
On Monday, the team participated in their first net session in Colombo. Abhishek Nayar, an assistant coach under head coach Gautam Gambhir, was designated to oversee the practice. Nayar joined the team after the second T20I match, ensuring that the players are well-prepared for the upcoming series.
Upcoming Matches and Team Composition
The Indian team has already secured the T20I series with a 2-0 lead, with the final match scheduled in Pallekele on July 30. The ODI series will commence on August 2 at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium. The subsequent matches are slated for August 4 and August 7, providing ample opportunity for the team to showcase their skills.
Coaching Team Developments
Morne Morkel is expected to bolster the coaching team as a bowling coach, starting from the home series against Bangladesh in September.
