Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto highlighted the importance of playing as a team as his side prepares for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.
The first ODI is scheduled to start at 2:30 pm on Wednesday at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
In a pre-match press conference, Shanto expressed, “The most crucial aspect is playing as a unit. When we play together as a team, our chances of winning significantly increase.”
Reflecting on their recent series in New Zealand, Shanto noted that the team played well as a unit. While they couldn’t win all the matches in New Zealand, he emphasized the significance of supporting each other during challenging times.
Shanto also mentioned that during the World Cup, the team faced challenges in playing cohesively. He emphasized the need for unity and support within the team, especially during tough moments. The captain’s focus is on fostering a strong team spirit to enhance their performance in the upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka.
