July 6, 2024: India has announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming Women’s Asia Cup, with no major surprises. From the current squad playing against South Africa, Amanjot Kaur and uncapped youngster Shabnam Shakil have been left out.
Shabnam, a late addition to the South Africa series, and Amanjot, who last played in January against Australia, have not been included. The rest of the squad remains unchanged for the multi-team event in Dambulla, Sri Lanka.
Traveling Reserves: Shweta Sehrawat, Saika Ishaque, Tanuja Kanwer, and Meghna Singh will be the traveling reserves.
India’s Schedule: The defending champions will begin their campaign on July 19 against Pakistan, followed by matches against UAE and Nepal on July 21 and 23. The top two teams from this group will advance to the semifinals.
