After last year’s One Day International World Cup, several new coaching staff members have joined the Bangladesh cricket team, including a pace bowling coach, a trainer, and a video analyst. During this time, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is preparing to play a full-fledged series against Sri Lanka.
In this Sri Lanka series, Iftikhar Islam Ifti has been appointed as the new batting coach and pace bowling coach for the Bangladesh team. Ifti will take on the role of trainer for the team starting tomorrow. Previously, he was the trainer for the Cumilla Victorians and, before that, the foreign trainer for the Bangladesh team under coach Nick Lee.
Head Coach of the High-Performance (HP) unit, David Hemp, has already joined the team and is responsible for batting coaching. Former BCB team pace bowling coach Andre Adams, who has now joined as the pace bowling coach, will handle the responsibilities in the fast bowling department.
In addition, Mohsin Sheikh has been appointed as the video analyst for the Sri Lanka series. However, no information about Sheikh’s contract has been disclosed, and it remains unknown who will be in charge of this role.
