The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has given back Haris Rauf’s contract. This comes after Rauf wrote a letter explaining his side of the story to PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi. Rauf’s contract was terminated a month ago because he didn’t join the test squad.
Rauf, who is 30 years old, didn’t join the Pakistan team for their test matches in Australia. Instead, he played in Australia’s Big Bash League. Unfortunately, Pakistan lost all three test matches against Australia.
Naqvi said Rauf’s letter was polite and explained there was a misunderstanding. He mentioned that Rauf’s contract has been reinstated.
Rauf is currently dealing with a shoulder injury that he got during a Pakistan Super League match.
Naqvi expressed concern for Rauf’s injury, calling him a star player. The PCB is working on helping him recover because they want to take care of him.
